Made it through the going away party and the first day under way!
We had a great send-off party at the marina on Sunday. All the kids and grandkids came down and quite a number of friends and dock-mates stopped by.
It was hard to say goodbye to our girls and grandkids when they left. We shed a few tears for sure.
Monday November 3, 2025
Our oldest spent the night with us as she was driving our car home. Lucky she did as we found a couple of things that we had forgotten. Can’t imagine how we forgot anything with the amount of stuff we loaded into this boat! 😮 I am sure we will be bringing most of it back in the spring.
After topping off the fresh water and chasing down a leak that turned out to be nothing, we headed out of the slip a little later than we had planned. Shannon was also able to get a video of us as we headed to pump out, fuel up and depart.
We had planned to be in the Little Choptank the first night but ended up in the Rhode River because of our late start. We had the anchor down by 4 (before dark), had a great dinner and headed to bed early to get an early start in the morning.
